Test and Tag Electrical Appliances

Implementing regular “Test and Tag” per AS3760 safeguards individuals from electrical hazards in workplaces and homes by identifying and rectifying faulty appliances.

 

 

 

Faulty electrical appliances often pose serious electrical hazards which are not visible or seen by individuals until a hazard is experienced.

For instance, missing earth continuity poses a risk of leakage current electrocution from a faulty unit or a damaged cord not noticed may come in contact by an individual. Therefore, regular tests and tag must be conducted to ensure your safety and safety of your employees.

As per Australian Standard AS3760, all electrical appliances, tools, machinery or leads shall be checked for any visual damages and tested for earth continuity, insulation and leakage current to ensure the safety and wellbeing of individuals in the workplace, homes, offices, etc. Every day, we find many faulty appliances being used at workplaces through the test and tag process, potentially saving individuals from serious electrical hazards.
